2018 GSER Entry Criteria
Qualification: 100 Mile Team Relay
The GSER 100 Team Relay ventures into some of the most rugged, remote and spectacular country in the Victorian Alps. The course covers some of the most difficult and challenging terrain in Australia and the Southern Hemisphere. We need to ensure that athletes who undertake this 100 mile course have suitable endurance and race experience to be able to safely complete the course. It is spectacular, challenging and amazing all in one run!
All applications will be accepted with the understanding that all decisions are final, either positive or negative, will be at the discretion of the race management committee, and not open to discussion or appeal.
- All runners must be 18 years of age on the day of the race.
- All runners must obtain medical clearance from their GP and need to show proof that they are aware of what they are getting themselves into.
- Runners must know how to read a map and use a compass.
Runners wishing to enter the GSER100 Mile Team Relay need to have experience in each of the following categories in the 18 months leading up to the event in November 2018.. (May 2017 – Nov 2018)
Trail Run of marathon distance or further.
Endurance event of at least 24 hours or more.
A training plan lasting at least 5 months to prepare for the GSER50
A run coach you have consulted about the event.
Team runners will be asked in the entry portal to list their category 1 and category 2 information in brief and may be contacted for further information if required.
